Cape Otway Light House Weekend 2010

Each year since 1998, groups of Amateur Operators around the  world have set up stations at light houses located in all 4 corners of the globe. The basic objective of the event is to promote public awareness of lighthouses and lightships and their need for preservation and restoration, to promote amateur radio  and to foster International goodwill. I was invited to attend at the Cape Otway Light Station in South-West Victoria which is 225 km from Melbourne. The Cape Otway Light Station is the oldest surviving Light House on Mainland Australia & has been in continuous operation since opening in 1848.
